Triathlon is where Andy's love for endurance sport began, but it's never been the whole story. Over the years he's coached and trained members of the defence forces, alongside runners chasing marathon and ultra PBs, cyclists grinding through gran fondos and gravel events, open water swimmers, and Ironman athletes at every level. Endurance is endurance - the foundations don't change much across disciplines. If you put in sustained effort over time and want to get better, you're in the right place.

Andy holds a Bachelor of Sport Science from Bangor University, which gave him a deep grounding in the physiology and science behind how the body adapts to training - periodisation, energy systems, load management, and recovery, but the degree only tells part of the story. Over a decade of competing at the highest levels of the sport, combined with more than ten years working as a Physical Training Instructor for the defence forces, means the science and the lived experience work together in everything Andy coaches.
